Together we can make our community the best place to live, work, raise a family, and build a business.
My name is Chris Herron. I am running for Lenexa City Council Ward 4. I am excited to have this opportunity to introduce myself and share why I am running. It is my intention to earn your trust and your vote.
I cannot win without your vote. I need your support. This election is nonpartisan and I promise that I will listen to every constituent. I will represent Ward 4 in the tradition it has been served and expects to be served.
First and foremost, I believe that Lenexa is a great place to live and work. I want to make sure that Lenexa continues to be as great as it has been. And, for Lenexa to remain great, it has to be more inclusive and welcoming for more people.
I believe in democracy, strong voting rights, equal rights, acknowledging history, and trusting science. Values, morality, and ethics matter. I believe public policy and politics should be about addition and multiplication, not subtraction and division.
In my professional life, I have always been drawn to and enjoyed roles where I work with different kinds of people to solve complex issues. That’s exactly what a city council does and why I know I can bring years of pragmatic experience to every issue. This is what I want to do for the Lenexa community.
This election is about setting ourselves up for 100-year period of what I expect will be fantastic inventions, innovation, and growth. My platform, at its heart, is about sidewalks and neighbors, specifically centered around the following topics:
Together, we will face short- and long-term issues. Together we can make our community the best place to live, work, raise a family, and build a business. Please get in touch if you have any priorities you’d like me to consider.
If you see the importance of having someone you know will hold steady against whatever may come our way, please join our campaign. Even if you don’t live in Ward 4, you can contribute by volunteering, donating, inviting us to a community event, holding a meet-and-greet, or telling a friend. Let’s make a difference together.
